Turkish Government driven by sense on “unfinished business” over Ottoman Empire – HSC Deputy Director

Human Security Centre (HSC) Deputy Director Simon Schofield has had a comment piece on Turkey’s regional policy published in the Jerusalem Post. In the article, he outlines how Ankara’s foreign policy approach – which features a mix of Turkish ethno-nationalism, hard-line Islamism, dreams of restoring elements of the Ottoman empire and conspiracism – represents an ongoing attempt by the country’s leadership to turn the country away from the West.
