4 x Research Assistants/Junior Fellows
The Human Security Centre is seeking to recruit 4x Research Assistants or Junior Fellows to further expand our work on human rights and international security. We are looking for motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals with the drive to work independently in an exciting environment. In return, you will work closely with and receive feedback from our senior staff and benefit from our extensive national and international contacts.
Research Assistants/Junior Fellows must have a demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the rational and mechanisms behind international policy making; substantive knowledge of humanitarian and/or security analysis; and a keen interest in the wider implication of events. They should have an excellent academic record, have experience of conducting independent research and be capable of producing high quality written material in the English language. The ability to self-motivate, be flexible, be organised, work with discipline and within a team are also essential qualities for these roles.
This is excellent experience for students and young professionals interested in pursuing careers in human rights, academia, the military, or defence and security-oriented NGOs and think tanks.
All positions are voluntary and no remuneration should be expected. Candidates are asked to commit 10 hours per week for a minimum period of 3 months. Applicants do not have to be based in London and international applicants are welcome.
